My current 9

1. This year is my favorite year. My favorite number is 9, and this is 09! I have decided to live dangerously and ferociously.


2. Speaking of living dangerously, on the first day of this year, a group of us decided to go night skiing. We left Portland at around 3:30 and got to Meadows around 4:30. It was raining so much that the whole parking lot was one big slush. We tried to get chains on one of our cars, failed, and then decided to finally get on the mountain. There weren't very many people on the slopes that night. A minute into our very first run, all the lights turn off. It was completely dark, and no one was around. It took about 5 minutes for the lights to turn back on again, but those 5 minutes were pretty scary. We took one more run, decided it wasn't worth it, got a refund and left. Long story short, we got soaked pre-boarding trying to the get chains on (for about 1.5 hours). We snowboarded with rain/snow for about an hour. We tried again to get the car out of the slush for about another hour. We eventually had to get towed from one of the workers there. The best part of the night was the aftermeal at Sorabol. Yookgaejang never tasted so good.


3. Did you know that 9 is my favorite number? Well, if you didn't know...let me tell you this. First of all, I like 9 b/c everything added to 9 equals that number. i.e. 4+9=13...1+3=4! And everything times 9 equals 9. i.e. 7x9=63. 6+3=9! Also, if A=1, B=2, then D (for Dan) = 4 and E (for esther) = 5. 4+5=9! Enough with the math lessons. Did you know that in the Bible, the book of Esther is 9 books away from Daniel? Dan thinks I'm crazy. He's like...you like 9, so you make everything fit that! You think i'm mad too don't you?


4. I've been really REALLY into country music these days. My current favorite song is "Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown Band. Listen to it. You'll love it.


5. I visited my parents during Christmas and found my old diary. It was written from 1992-95, and boy was it funny. When I look at pre-teens that I know right now, they seem so much more mature than I was back then. Anyway, it was embarrassing to read, but it reminded me so much of how I was and the things I did. Memories are priceless. Good and bad. Anyway, it inspired me to keep record of the present.


6. I absolutely love curling up by the fireplace and reading, or sleeping, or anything. I think I was a cat in my past life. A fireplace is a must in this weather!


7. Dan is a remote control hog!


8. I'm working on a 3000 piece jigsaw puzzle. Peter's girlfriend got me this puzzle, and it's insanity. I think I'm about 2/3 done. But it's the last 1/3 that's going to be hard! If any of you want to help (ahem Cindy or Jessica), come on over!


9. I went bowling last weekend, and 2 out of 3 games, I got over 100! I'm used to getting like...50-60, so this is like whoo hoo! Why are things more fun when you're good at them?
