No pictures again! =)

1. So, Obama won. I'm cautiously optimistic. IF what he says is really true, then it could be good. Truth is, that man has bitten off quite and bit and I hope he can chew it. He's promised so much. Not just policies and laws. He sold something much stronger and harder to deliver on than that. Change and hope. Good luck President Obama. Enough of politics though. I've seen political posts go bad quickly on blogs. =)

2. This last weekend, Esther was out of town for a wedding. So what's a temporarily single man to do? Well, I know what my answer was. Golf. Lot's and lot's of golf. Unfortunately, the forecast called for rain. Lot's and lot's of rain. My dedication wavered not. I showed up wearing my rain pants, rain jacket, rain hat, with umbrella in tow. As soon as I got to the course the sun came out and the sky cleared up and it was amazing! I tried something new this time. I took my ipod and listened to music while I played golf. For people who haven't tried this before, I highly recommend it! Picture this, music playing in my ears, nobody else out there, beautiful blue skies with autumn colors all around me. I was in my own world. To top it off, I had 5 birdies and shot a 75. I tell you, it was a near spiritual experience. I was out there on the golf course singing at the top of my lungs. Thank god nobody else was out there to hear me. I tried it again on Sunday. This time, it rained a little bit and my ipod batteries died on hole 28/36 and my scores were higher. Oh well. Still an amazing time. And now I know that my rain gear works really well!

3. Esther got her braces off today... for the third (and hopeflly the final) time! She's been wearing braces on and off for almost a decade. Poor girl has had enough food stuck in her braces to feed a small nation and today she flossed comfortably like a normal person. Congrats to her.

4. As mentioned in the previous entry, the rains have started. I'm quite thankful that we made it all the way to November without the rains coming. Now that the rains are starting up, we'll be in the deluge for about 3-4 months. Well, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade right? I actually don't mind the rain. I recently got the urge to take a weekend trip to the coast and sit in front of the fireplace while watching the rain come down on the ocean. So I looked on VRBO and found an amazing house and gathered some friends and we'll be going next weekend! This might be a surprise to some, but I actually really love the ocean. I love looking at the ocean. I don't like being in the ocean and I don't like sweating and getting sand sticking all over me. So, it turns out, this is the perfect time for me to go to the beach! I may have pictures of this trip, thus ending our pictureless post streak. Esther just got back from a wedding in California and spent the weekend with her mom in LA and guess how many pictures she took? ZERO. This is why we never have any pictures.

and HOORAY OBAMA! my faith in america has been restored. the man can only do so much in 4 years, let's be realistic. he bit off a lot, but our country is in a SHAMBLES. he has to pick up the pieces before he can begin to put things back in order. it'll take time, be patient.

1) Anytime the government runs healthcare, the government runs the banks, and the government runs wars, we are in for a bad thing. Separation between the rich and poor is essential for a healthy economy. It breeds competition. Otherwise, we all become complacent and lackadaisacal and have no motivation to beat the Jones's.
2) The reason you were playing golf by yourself in the rain with your iPod was because no sane individual does that.
3) I would just like to share that i like staring at beaches too, just not getting into them.
